Gilded Italian // Hand painted hand ripped hand tied // FourThings Paper

Thursday, January 15, 2015

Working with this Italian bride was so much fun! It took us a while to settle on a design but finally it came together with this pefrect mix of simple and texture.

The color scheme was olive green with grey and white. The olive branches were hand painted and printed on every invitation on smooth uncoated paper stock.  My favorite part (of course!) would be the deckled edges. Never underestimate texture on paper! We decided to do only two of the sides rather than all four because four just seemed too busy and I agree! Since the ripped edges wouldn't be textured enough we decided to hand paint those edges a rich gold. It was no easy task but it turned out lovely and so worth it. I seriously wish I could incorporate real gold paint in all my invites!

The last detail was the invites were tied together with a thin hemp twine and an info tag. I love the finished look! An olive green envelope was the best option for sending these safely to guests.
